Safe sitemap workflow
Use a valid XML sitemap with an absolute HTTP(S) loc per URL and optional real lastmod dates. Keep sitemaps under 50,000 URLs and 50 MB uncompressed; the local generator has a smaller 5,000-URL safety limit. Sitemap index child files are not fetched.
