What this tool does
Build a voluntary llms.txt Markdown overview from real website links or check an existing file for structural issues.
1. Enter website facts and main links
Provide a website name, short description and at least one main page as Label | https://example.com/page. Optional links and notes can be added.
2. Generate a Markdown file
Click Generate llms.txt, review the headings and Markdown links, then copy or download the result.
3. Validate and start again
After generating, click Send generated llms.txt to Validator to transfer the Markdown automatically, then click Validate llms.txt. For a separate existing file, paste its Markdown instead. Review headings, links and duplicate URLs; use Clear all fields & results for the next project.
Practical example
A site title, summary and links to Home and Guides produce a # heading, > summary and ## Main Pages list.
Limits and responsible use
llms.txt is an emerging voluntary convention; it is not universally supported by AI systems and does not guarantee AI citations, training, indexing or search rankings. This validator does not fetch links.
Keep the original markup for comparison. Review facts against the real page, and use the dated Google feature catalogue or official Google Search Central documentation where relevant. A local check is not a search-ranking or rich-result guarantee.

Frequently asked questions
Answers are educational. FAQ markup does not guarantee Google FAQ rich results.
Is llms.txt required by Google or AI search engines?
No. It is an emerging voluntary format, not a universal requirement.
Will this file guarantee AI citations or better rankings?
No. The file does not guarantee indexing, citations or ranking outcomes.
Can I validate without uploading to a server?
Yes. The checker processes pasted Markdown locally and does not fetch linked pages.
